Powering the Svartpilen 250 is a modern fuel injected, liquid cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke 250 cc twin overhead camshafts engine. The remarkably compact engine provides impressive power and thanks to the balancer shaft, delivers the highest levels of smoothness.The engine is equipped with an electric starter powered by a 12V/8Ah battery and it achieves its peak power of 23 kW (31 hp) with an impressively punchy torque.

Made from high strength steel using hydro formed tubes and robot welding, the frame is not only strong but also lightweight ensuring nimble handling and detailed feedback to the rider.
